Markham Bailey Image & Print was born in 2011 at the Innovation Depot in Birmingham, Alabama. We participated in the Entrepreneur Accelerator program as part of the Birmingham Venture Club's commitment to business growth. Markham Bailey Image & Print is a certified WBENC woman-owned business. We love small business and are active in our community.
Anne Markham Bailey followed a spark and an idea in 2011, moving away from the family label company and towards a digital program to supply multiple small batch high-quality branded print products to coffee roasters and craft brewers. With the help of an SBA loan, she purchased equipment and Markham Bailey Image & Print was born.
Our company name holds the origin story of Anne Markham Bailey. Her great grandparents, Anna Markham and Frank Bailey were small town kids from Gowanda, New York. Anne Markham became the first woman professor in the Music Department at the Fredonia Normal College in the 1880's. Eventually she married Frank who attended the Naval Academy and became a Rear Admiral in the US Navy. Pictured here is a letter from Frank Bailey to Anna Markham, from aboard the USS Constellation, the last sailing vessel in the US Navy fleet, and currently installed at Baltimore Harbor.
Thus at Markham Bailey Image & Print, we look back to the intelligence and hard work of the past as inspiration for the communication, commerce and technology of the present and future.
The culture of Markham Bailey Image & Print brings intelligence, commitment and compassion in serving clients, working with vendors and being a community partner. We are committed to explore how we can do a better job for our clients.
